1932 Ford "Tequila Sunrise" Roadster

"Tequila Sunrise" is a one-off, hand built, full-fendered Deuce Roadster. Built from scratch with all new superior quality after-market parts, the owner started the project in 1993 and saw its completion in 2001 with over $60,000 invested. From the ultra-smooth body covered in a unique high-gloss Candy Apple Tangerine finish and complimented by the timeless lift-off Carson-style top, one can easily see that this '32 Ford Roadster is truly a beautiful show quality vehicle.

Details:

Exterior: The body and fenders on this beauty are hand laid composite and fiberglass reinforced with porcelain ceramic. The paint is a custom mixed, one of a kind high gloss lacquer with clear coat. All body panels were painted off the frame with trim components installed afterward. A famous DuVall windshield and windshield frame adds that classic finishing touch. The padded convertible (removable) hard top is equipped with a third brake light. A Rootlieb steel hood covers the engine compartment. Custom chrome strips adorn the molded running boards to provide step plates and an L.E.D. tail light array is discretely molded in place on the lower rear of the body.
Interior: The interior is in pristine showroom condition featuring seats, door panels, kick panels, and the trunk interior covered in two tone Tan Ultra Leather and Mercedes wool carpeting. An "Ididit" tilt-telescopic steering column is topped with a custom billet steering wheel. The "smoothy" handmade dash houses six analog gauges including: Speedometer/Odometer, Tach, Temp, Fuel, Battery and Oil in a custom billet insert. The owner even added his personal touch of embroidered floor mats with the car's name "Tequila Sunrise". Power steering and a remote trunk release round out the comfort quotient of this luxurious cabin.
Engine and Driveline: The GM 350 HO V-8 with a 650 cfm Holley carburetor is backed by a GM 4L60E electronic overdrive transmission which is programmable via laptop. The computer port/plug in is in the trunk. Power to the ground is courtesy of a Currie Ent. Ford 9 inch differential equipped with a 3.50 Posi gear set. A Mustang II-style IFS with Vega rack and pinion steering, GM front disc brakes and coil over shocks are up front. Coil overs and drum brakes are in the rear.
Wheels and Tires: American Racing Vintage Torq Thrust II Polished Wheels are well-shod with P195/60R-15 tires up front and P255/60R-15 tires in the rear.
