Newstalgia Motors Presents Car No. 00165:
1964 Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible
This Falcon has found a new home!
However, we'd be happy to locate another one just for you.
- Exterior: Original factory paint was Wimbledon White and had one
re-paint to a similar White finish in 1980. There is absolutely no sign of rust
on the body or undercarriage. The body panels appear as straight and fitting as
they did when the car was purchased at a Bakersfield, California Ford dealership
in 1964. All stainless trim, chrome bumpers, grill, etc. are original and appear
in excellent condition. The convertible POWER soft top is free of any rips, tears
or scuffing.
- Interior: The beautiful two-toned Aqua Sport vinyl interior of
this Sprint rag top is remarkably well preserved for the age of the car. The only
item needing attention is a very small area on the driver's seat that could use
re-stitching in the seam. Door panels are in good condition, along with the dash
pad having only one crack on the top. The carpet could use some TLC or replacement
if the new owner wants to grab awards at shows.
- Driveline: The current owner has gone to great lengths to ensure
correct drivability while maintaining this car's stock provenance. Rebuilt Carburetor,
NEW Water Pump, Radiator, Master Cylinder, Oil Pan Gaskets and Rear Main Seal, Brake
Linings, Wheel Cylinders, complete Exhaust System from the exhaust manifolds to
the Chrome Exhaust Tips – using Flowmaster 2-chamber Mufflers for "the sound". The
4 Speed Transmission shifts correctly and there are absolutely NO weird noises or
fluid leaks.
- Wheels & Tires: 17x7" Coy Wheels on new tires (ORIGINAL wheels
and wire wheel covers with knockoff spinners go with the car).
Note: If sold to a California buyer, the "Black Plates" go with
the car; otherwise, the current owner will retain them.
