1969 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible

The 1969 Galaxie was noted as "Bigger, Wider, Longer, and Quieter"; growing in size to become even more luxury oriented than previous years and in the late 1960s regarded as the high volume counterpart to the Chevrolet Impala. Owned by the same owner for 21 years, this classic Galaxie 500 Convertible has undergone a total frame-up restoration including engine and drivetrain rebuild, new paint and upholstery. Following the restoration and after a few years of parade and cruise-in duty the owner has decided to offer some buyer a special opportunity to possess a very special car!

Details:

• Exterior: Starting with a rust-free body and undercarriage, the restoration was completed in late 1991. She wears 100% of her original sheet metal and glass. All trim was removed and body panels were block sanded, primed and painted prior to assembly prior to application of the 1969 Ford Meadowlark finish. All body panels are straight with panel gaps tight and uniform throughout the car. The original chrome and stainless trim are in very good to excellent condition. The Black convertible top and boot are in like-new cosmetic and mechanical condition.
• Interior: The restored interior appears factory stock, highly original and in like-new condition with no rips, scratches, or wear. All accessories are in proper working condition: AC, power steering, power brakes, stock AM radio, aftermarket AM/FM/CD unit in small, removable custom compartment on the transmission hump below the dash.
• Driveline: This vehicle boasts 100% of the original drive train; engine, transmission, and rear-end. The 351 cu. in. Windsor/250 hp V8 engine, rebuilt to stock specs during the restoration is very presentable with factory-correct details and a modern, sealed battery makes cold starts reliable.
• Wheels & Tires: Tires are in NEW condition with P235/75 R15s all around.
